Guarantees
Providing the timber is treated correctly and maintained on a regular basis
i.e. treated every 3-4 years using a specialist treatment such as Tikkurila,
which has been designed specifically for the log home market, the main structure
carries a 10 year guarantee. Windows and doors sourced by Keycraft also carry
a 10 year manufacturers.
This is the same guarantee that is offered by NHBC covered brick built homes.
Life span on these buildings provided they are maintained should be a minimum
of 80 years. Timber buildings constructed in Northern Europe over 150 years ago
are still standing today.
